Virtual Environment Pledge Wall

Preserving the environment is one of our key values. We want to save our planet by promoting a greener airport and at the same time, we want to inspire and encourage individuals or organizations to join us in this mission. 

The global aviation industry produces around 2% of all human induced carbon emissions. Continuous demand in air travel, shows an increase in CO2 emissions in the coming decades.  

To minimize the adverse effects that the global aviaiton industry has on the environment, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) is calling on all member states to focus on reducing aviation emissions and promote sustainable initiatives.  

If you wish to be part of the solution we invite you to submit a pledge on steps you are taking to protect and conserve the environment.

    1. What is an environmental pledge?

    It is a promise or commitment made by an individual or a group of people on actions they intend to take to protect and preserve the environment.
    A pledge, should be specific and measurable.

    2. Why should you make an environmental pledge?

    Your action can contribute towards efforts to protect and preserve our natural environment for future generations

    ​4. How can I make a pledge?

    On the submission page you will be asked to provide your name and contact details, after which you can write your pledge.  

    5. What happens after I have made a pledge?

    Following submission of your pledge, we will review and then post it on our wall. You will receive a personalized email once your pledge has been uploaded.

    6. What happens to all the pledges?

    It is in our plans to compile as many pledges as we can, your pledge will then be displayed on our feature wall at the Seychelles International airport. You will be notified when this happens. Feel free to contact us if you wish to update and amend your pledge at any time.
