Findings – Actions
An inspector from the Authority may assign an action to you or your department, either as a follow-up to an existing finding or as a standalone action not necessarily linked to a finding. Once an action has been assigned, you will receive an email notification. The email will include the action ID, the title of the action, the name of the person who assigned it to you, the current status, and a direct link to the action in Centrik for easy access.

You can also access actions assigned to you or your department through the Centrik Dashboard. Since the action has been assigned to you, it will appear under the My Tasks tab.
Use the available filtering options to refine the list and display only the relevant actions. Once you have located the action, simply click on it to be taken directly to the action details.

Once you are directed to the action, the first section displayed is Action Details, which provides the following information:
- Action ID – The unique identification number assigned to the action in Centrik.
- Action Title – The title or name of the action.
- Action Open From – The date the action was opened.
- Action Due On – The due date by which the action must be completed.
- Status – The current status of the action (e.g., Open, Overdue, Completed, Closed).
- Action Owner – The person or group responsible for completing the action.
- Assigned By – The individual who assigned the action to the owner.
- Finding – If the action is linked to a finding, this field displays the finding title. If you have access, clicking on the title will take you directly to the finding.
- Audit – The name of the overall audit linked to the action or finding. Details of the audit itself will not be accessible

The Action Description section provides details from the inspector outlining the specific steps or requirements you are expected to complete for this action.

The Actions Taken section is where you, as the action owner, record the details of the steps you have taken in response to the inspector’s requirements. To update this field, click the Edit button and enter the relevant information.

The Add Attachments section allows you to upload supporting documents as evidence for the actions you have taken..

The Add Comments section allows you to include remarks related to the action. This is typically used to ask questions, request clarification, or provide additional context.
Whenever a comment is added, both the action owner and the inspector will receive an email notification.

After you have entered the actions you have taken and added any attachments, you can mark the action as Completed by clicking the Set Completed button at the bottom of the page. This will notify the inspector that the action has been completed.
Once marked as completed, the action becomes read-only unless you choose to mark it as Not Completed. The inspector will receive an email notification of your completion and will review the action. If the action is satisfactory, the inspector will close it. If not, the inspector will reopen the action and provide comments or feedback.

If, after being assigned an action, you believe it does not involve you or should be assigned to someone else, you can reject the action by clicking the Reject button at the bottom of the page.
Even after rejection, the action will remain assigned to you with a Rejected status. The inspector will be notified of your rejection and will review the action. If appropriate, the inspector may reassign the action to another person or keep it assigned to you.

You can delegate an action to another person or department available in Centrik. The action will remain accessible to the original action owner, but once delegated, the new assignee will receive an email notification informing them of the delegation.
To delegate an action, click the Delegate button at the bottom of the page. A field will then appear in the Action Details section, where you can enter the name of the individual or department to whom the action is being delegated.

If you believe you will not be able to complete the action on time, you can request a postponement. Click the Request to Postpone button at the bottom of the page. A pop-up will appear where you must enter the reason for the postponement and specify a requested new deadline.
Once you submit the request, the inspector will be notified via email and will review it. If the request is approved, the action’s due date will be updated to the new date. If rejected, the original due date will remain unchanged.
All changes made to the action are tracked and recorded in the Comments section.
