Access to the Seychelles International Airport restricted areas is expected to be done more effectively through a new permit office and with the use of technology so as to further adhere to international security requirements.
During a recent high level mission to the Seychelles, the Regional Director of the ICAO Eastern and Southern African Regional office, Mr. Barry Kashambo met with the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Mr. Didier Dogley.
Seychelles continues to expand its air transport portfolio. Seychelles signed two new air services agreements with Zimbabwe and the Dominican Republic during the twelfth edition Air Services Negotiation Conference (ICAN) This annual meeting which is hosted by the international Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) was held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from 1 to 5 December. The Seychelles delegation led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Mr. Garry Albert also initialed five new air services agreements and held meetings with eight current and potential aviation partners. The two bilateral air services agreements with Zimbabwe and the Dominican Republic were signed by Ambassador Jean-Claude Adrienne, who is based in the UAE.
