In light of the evolving situation affecting international airspace operations, particularly within parts of the Middle East, the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) wishes to reassure the traveling public and valued stakeholders that developments are being closely monitored and that we are working diligently with all relevant partners to minimise disruptions and safeguard connectivity to and from Seychelles.
While global airspace adjustments have presented operational challenges for some airlines, Air connectivity to and from the islands continues through multiple established routes, ensuring that travellers can plan their journeys with confidence.
SCAA remains committed to maintaining safe and secure air connectivity for Seychelles. As such, robust negotiations are ongoing with various airlines to strengthen existing air services operations, providing alternative options for both travelers and Cargo. We are encouraged by the positive indications of these negotiations.
In the immediate, Air Seychelles has scheduled special flights to and from Europe, up until March 08th, 2026, and is already accepting bookings through its online platform. Ethiopian Airlines will be introducing ET B787-8 dream liner, a larger aircraft which will increase both passenger and cargo capacity on its route up until March 11th, 2026.
Travelers are kindly encouraged to remain in direct contact with their respective airlines for specific booking and schedule updates.
We extend our sincere thanks to all our partners for their continued collaboration and commitment, and to all travelers and the general public for their patience, understanding and trust as the global aviation community navigates this complex period together.
