Telecommunications & Information Systems

The Telecommunications & Information Systems (TIS) Division consist of two Sections. They are:

CNS Section - responsible for the management and maintenance of all communications, surveillance and air traffic management facilities for the provision of safe and efficient Air Traffic Services in the Seychelles Flight Information Region (FIR), as well as telecommunication facilities for SCAA.

IT Section - responsible for the management and maintenance of all Information Technology systems and resources, including office equipment.

Engineering & Technical Services

The role of the Technical Services / Airport Electrical Maintenance Centre is to ensure the proper and efficient operations of the Seychelles International Airport, Praslin Airport and outstations, primary and secondary (back-up) power supply distribution systems, visual aids – airfield lighting systems including control and monitoring, security equipment, public address system, air-condition and ventilation system and various other electrical, electro-mechanical and electronics including Information Technology installations and equipment.

This is achieved by implementing an effective maintenance program and effectively regulating and enforcing aviation safety standards and requirements in accordance with the national and international regulations and practices (ICAO – International Civil Aviation Organization); and promoting and developing an efficient, well trained and skilled workforce in the fields of electrical, electronics, electro-mechanical and information technology engineering.

 

Human Resources & Administration

The Human Resources & Administration Division is responsible for the effective human resource management and staff welfare in the following areas; recruitment and staffing, succession planning, compensation, benefit administration, health and safety, labour relations, training and development, performance management and development.  Generally ensures timely and efficient processing of all HR transactions.
