Job Description
Entry Requirements Department
Human Resources Manager
The post holder will play a major role assisting with strategic human resource planning and capacity building to meet organization goals. 

Duties include co-coordinating the activities of personnel and processes in respect of the hiring process and placement of best employees, staff welfare, development and implementation of sound human resources policies, labour relations, health and safety, management of the training and development function in liaison with other divisions. Assist with budget preparation.


Education:

A university degree in either Human Resource Management or Business Administration or other relevant field.
A relevant combination of academic qualification and extensive experience in human resources management or relevant area plus a diploma in HR may also be considered.



 
Experience:
 
At least two years’ professional experience in a similar field.

 
Knowledge, abilities and skills:

· Professionalism: demonstrated in-depth knowledge of all aspects of human resources management including performance management
· Proficiency in MS Word and Excel as a minimum
· Conversant with Seychelles Employment Act and Regulations and modern HR practices;
· Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation, exercise sound professional judgement in evaluating situations and problem solving;
· Communications: sound interpersonal skills and strong oral and writing skills
Human Resources & Administration
Terminal Operations Officer
Responsible to provide the Airport Manager (Terminal and Landside) Operations with day to day operational and administrative support through mainly:
 
i) Monitoring and coordinating the various terminal activities which include passenger and baggage handling, service provision by the various service providers and agents and providing continuous feedback to ensure standards are maintained/enhanced;
ii) Regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety, functionality, cleanliness and operational efficiency and taking steps to for any deficiencies to be addressed promptly;
iii) Coordination and monitoring of arrangements for regular deliveries, occasional suppliers of services and special events;
iv) Maintaining and developing effective liaison with all service providers and carrying out regular surveys to determine level of services, facilitation and customer satisfaction;
v) Providing effective response in the event of an emergency.
 
 
 
The purpose of these functions is to ensure a highly functional and user friendly terminal and services are at a high standard to help promote the image of Seychelles International Airport and give a very positive experience to passengers and other airport users.
 

A Level graduate with knowledge / experience in any of the following; airport operations, airline operations, tourism related fields or other closely related fields.
Airport Management
Airport Landside Officer
Responsible to provide the Airport Manager (Terminal and Landside) Operations with day to day operational and administrative support through mainly:
 
i) The day to day supervision and coordination of the various landside activities which include management of vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow, use of parking facilities and law and order enforcement and compliance;
ii) Liaising with other officers to ensure proper facilities upkeep and maintenance and recommending improvements where required;
iii) Supervising on a day to day basis work being carried out by the Landscaping and Cleaning contractor and ensuring performance is in accordance with contractual arrangement;
iv) Making continuous assessment of demands on allocated facilities, utilization of space and operational efficiency and making proposals for improvements;
v) Providing appropriate and effective response in the event of an emergency.
 
The purpose of these functions is to ensure high level of operational efficiency and a beautiful, safe, healthy and user-friendly landside environment that helps to promote the image of Seychelles International Airport and give a more positive experience to passengers and other airport users.

A Level graduate with knowledge / experience in any of the following; airport operations, airline operations, vehicular traffic management, law and order enforcement or other closely related fields.
Airport Management
Project and Statistics Officer
i) Assist GM Airport Management in the preparation of project proposals, carrying out project evaluation and auditing and the preparation of project reports and summaries and undertake other project management tasks;
ii) Assist GM Airport Management in preparing the Division’s business plans, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and collection and analysis of data related to facilitation, passenger’s and other airport users’ satisfaction in respect of  airport facilities and services;         
iii) Responsible for the collection, archiving, analysis and interpretation of air transport and other related data for various applications;
iv) Assist the GM Airport Management in the discharge of functions as Chairman of various airport committees through effective liaison and communications with members and other stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree with knowledge of statistics
 
OR
 
‘A’ level graduate with knowledge of statistics plus three years’ experience as a statistician or project officer/coordinator or other closely related fields.
 
 

Competencies & Skills:   
 
 
- Advanced interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal with ability to prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports and other documents.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to multi-task.   
- Very good computer skills
- Self motivated with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
